There’s more than you think that goes into a good gold cocktail shaker set. I touched on this a little above but a lot of low quality cocktail shakers tend to leak and have a rubbish seal.

Another thing to consider is what exactly your kit includes. Such as muddlers, spoons and strainers. If you are opting for one of the Boston shaker sets (which are 2 tins that you push in to each other, like the first 1 on this list and the last one) then it’s important to also have a fine strainer to strain your cocktail.
