Negroni Week 2024 | Everything you need to know

It’s that time of year again, that time of year when it’s perfectly acceptable to drink Negronis every day of the week thanks to Imbibe and Campari. You might have never heard of Negroni week, heck, you might never have drunk a Negroni! But fear not. I will explain everything you need to know about Negroni week 2020. Whilst also plugging my new Negroni guide.

Usually, I would use this time to smash as many Negronis back as possible. However, this year Imbibe has shifted the focus of Negroni week to help save the much needed saving of the hospitality industry. So if you haven’t heard of Negroni week but love a cocktail, then keep on reading!

What is A Negroni?

A Negroni is a bitter, dark red cocktail hailing from Italy. A simple mix of Gin, Campari and Sweet vermouth delicately garnished with a slice of orange, creating the most perfect balance of sweet and bitter. Get the guide here.

What is Negroni Week

Negroni week is a collaboration between Imbibe magazine and Campari. Imbibe first launched Negroni week in 2013 as a celebration of one of the worlds greatest and most beloved cocktails, the Negroni.

However, Negroni week isn’t just a celebration for one of the worlds best cocktails. It has more meaning then that. Negroni week is Imbibes effort to raise money for charities around the world. Normally held in venues across the world, Negroni week has grown from around 120 bars participating in 2013 to over 12,000 in 2019.

They have collectively raised over $3 million for charitable courses so far.

Of course with the current times being as they are, Negroni week can no longer be held in venues and instead has changed the way they will operate for 2020. This year will see Negroni week go digital for the first time ever.

The fundraising goals for Negroni week 2020 will be focused on raising as much money as possible for the hospitality industry. Now more than ever funding is needed to help keep our bars and restaurants operating. Negroni week aims to raise a whopping $1 million this year to help keep the hospitality industry afloat.

This year, Negroni week will be held in September 2024
