2 Non-alcoholic cocktails to help you get through the rest of Sober October for anyone missing the hard-hitting taste of booze.

Sober October has more people getting involved than ever before. People who have been sober for years, people who go sober once a year for charity and even people who are trying it out for the first time ever. Whatever the case may be that has got your reading this post, I have just the thing to help you get through the month without a slip up.

For a lot of people, sober October is a breeze. Maybe you don’t like the taste of alcohol all that much anyway, maybe you’re already sober. But for the vast majority of us, sober October is something that we may be trying out for the first time and it can be a struggle.

The struggle you will relate to the most is craving the taste of a well made cocktail. Those complex cocktail which are just hard to find with non-alcoholic serves. Big hits of botanicals and malty complexities from stirred down classics sort of drinks.

Well I’m here to tell you not to give up just yet! There are products on the market that replicate those flavours beautifully. The one we are going to be talking about through this post is Lyres.

What is Lyres?

Lyres is the highly reviewed and most awarded non alcoholic spirits brand in the world. Its a brand I’ve recently came into partnership with and couldn’t be happier. There’s hundreds if not thousands of alcohol free cocktails and variations you can create with Lyres. Just check out the recipes on there websites here.

They have products from Alcohol free gin to alcohol free coffee liqueur and everything in between. There’s 2 cocktails in particular that I love and so will be sharing on this post. Which are comprised of 3 drinks from the Lyres range. There non-alcoholic absinthe spirit, The best selling Non-alcoholic American malt spirit and the new and exclusive to the UK market, non-alcoholic Pink London spirit.

As I just mentioned, Lyres has launched its version of an alcohol free pink gin here in the UK. It really is a beautiful expression of what a non alcoholic pink botanical spirits should taste like. This isn’t just a one note product. What I mean by that is that a lot of non alcoholic pink gins tend to be one flavour. Raspberry, maybe rose, maybe strawberry. Its one or the other. Lyres Non-alcoholic Pink London spirit has hits of all those flavours and more. You get notes of cranberry, orange, even a hit of what tastes like peppercorn to me. There’s floral, sweet, spice and plenty of traditional botanical notes with every sip.

And I ain’t just saying that because I’m in partnership with them. I wouldn’t partner up if I didn’t love the brand. I truly did enjoy these products. You can find out more about the London Pink Spirit and where to buy it here.

What is Sober October.

So back to the point here. What if you have never even heard of Sober October? If you already know what it is then keep on scrolling to those delicious alcohol free serves. This bit is for those of you who have never heard of Sober October before.

Sober October is a charity fundraising event where people give up alcohol for the month of October in order to raise funds for a charity. Here in the UK, that charity is Mcmillan.

And don’t be put of if you don’t want to fundraise. Not everyone does and you by no means have to. Having a break from alcohol has great health benefits, such as having more energy, a clearer head and sleeping better, plus no hangovers! So its worth trying it out regardless of fundraising or not.

What if you have already drank this October? Well that’s okay as well. The rules state you can either go the full 31 days, 21 days or even 14.

But hey, if you just want to do 7 days there’s no harm in that either. And don’t think just because its sober October you have to do this in October and October alone. You can challenge yourself any time you want and for any length of time you want. I recommend everyone try a sober challenge even if you have no intention of going sober. Sometimes its just good to have the clear out.
